Workout/Walking Shoes
Question
When I am running on the treadmill my feet sometimes get a little numb. Do you think I may need a different style of shoe to work out rather the basic tennis shoes? I bought new balance running shoes but my feet seem to hurt when I am working out. I was fitted for the shoe and was told to get a 6 1/2 med. Is it the shoes or could it be something else?
Answer
I'm a little confused. Is it that tennis shoes make your feet numb, but running shoes hurt your feet in some other way?
Numbness is often a sign of shoes that are too small. For shoes that were fitted, you should go back to the store for a second opinion. Maybe the person who helped you was having a bad day. A good quality running shoe should work for you, but maybe they missed the size or put you in the wrong shoe model.
