Questioni have a wayler wind surf but cannot get the swivel on the end of the mast to tighten down to the board, i think it must be missing some kind of large type of o-ring so when you tighten the swivel the o-ring gets snug in the hole in the board. please give me some insight , if not how i can get in touch with wayler boards thank you todd in carrolltron texas
AnswerI too had a Wayler. Wayler has been out of biz for many years. You can try to find parts at www.the-house.com. Best to call them to describe the part you need. It's a long shot but they are the only ones I know who had parts like that. You may need to buy a complete foot(the part that goes into the board). If you find that they cannot help and you are handy you can fix it yourself. The piece that fits in the board should be a circular shaped piece with a metal shaft in the center of two plastic spacers and in between the spacers should be a rubber piece. You are probably missing the rubber piece. When you insert the shaft assembly into the board and twist the part that is above the board it should tighten the 2 spacers and squeeze the rubber piece so it expands and holds the foot to the board. Try to find a short piece of rubber hose that will fit on the shaft between the 2 spacers. You can bring the foot to an auto parts store to see what size hoses they have that may fit. It's trial and error but it is the best solution short of ditching the whole board and getting a new one. Hope that helps. If you have more questions it would be best to take a picture of the foot and send to me at
[email protected] and maybe I can offer more help.
