windsurfing parts
Question
Hi windlover, i have a windsurfer, my board is a bombora Allgaier system 62, my sail is designed and manufactured by Wild Winds Australia. Size is 4.5 Luff Vario Clew, this board and sail is in fantastic condition, but i have one problem my universal joint snapped and i am trying to find the part. I was hoping you can help me? The part no is BOMBORA 2434.

Hey Kim,
Check out these parts to see if you can replace your joint with one of these. Depending upon your specific part and what is broken, you may need to replace your whole mast base. Just click on 'bases' to see complete parts.

If you just need to replace the universal joint itself, get either the joint or the joint kit (this would be my recommendation) and attach your parts to the new joint. It may be difficult to remove your old parts. Use some type of penetrating oil to loosen the old parts. When attaching the parts to new joint, use a little BLUE locktight to secure the threaded parts. Blue locktight will lock but be removable. DO NOT use Red locktight as this is an almost permanent bond.
