Mistral competition
Question
I have just been given a Mistral Comp but with no mast foot. It has a slider track with one hole. In the hole is a single small bar which i assume keeps the connection in place. Not sure what type of foot it is though. Have looked on Mistral spares and there seems loads.
Thanks for your help.

Answer
Hey Chris,
Most of the Mistral slider tracks had two holes in the slider. One used a specific type pin that locked in with the bar you are talking about. The other hole is a threaded hole that fits any standard threaded mast base bolt. Your track may be old enough that it does not have the extra threaded hole.
What you need to do is measure the diameter of the hole. It should be either 6mm or 8mm or 0.236" or 0.314". Being as Mistral is a German company, all sizes are listed in metric.
You will need to have a universal joint or (boge joint, the rubber hourglass), the specific size pin that you measure your hole to be, and the top part that will fit into an extension.

Also, if you have a source for Mistral parts that I have not mentioned in past answers, please let me know what the site is. You can post it in a response to this question or in comments on the feedback page.
Hope this helps.
