Vinta - need fin

QUESTION: Hi!

We are searching for a fin that got broken off our sailboard and have come up with nothing while searching the internet. Any ideas for parts?

Fin   ANSWER: Hey Tom,

The question here is 'What type of fin do you need?'  There are various types of fin boxes out there but the one that is most standard on older boards is called a US Box, A box or Chinook box. These three use a standard type fin that has been in use for years. Check out my pic and see if your old fin matches it. If so, you can find used and new fins of this type on ebay, craigslist, and many online shops. If your fin does not look like my pic, then try to get a pic and send it via this question format and I should be able to tell you what type of fin you will need.

Hey Tom,

If you pull out the broken part of your fin from the fin box and look at it, it may still have the pin that goes through the part that is broken off your fin. Look closely at the pic of my fin and compare the way they look at the part that goes into the fin box. They are the same type of fin although they are different in the body design.
