Question
experimental equipment
Yes, hi, I have spent a few hours now trying to find a picture of my board. I need it to give to the police because it was stolen off my truck. I'm stuck in Oklahoma and seem to be the only one who windsurfs but that did not stop someone from cutting my straps and taking two of my favorite boards. One was all white, jump board, I think Mistral with two rear foot straps and black pads with bunch of holes. It was very light weight, i think carbon fiber. The second was a mint condition windsurfer board with the metal clip on universal and holes for foot straps, push button moving mast step (only thing I did not like as i kept moving it when giving rides to others for sharing). I'm really hurt as I know they arn't ever going to use it and I had just started getting the kids interested. The big board was great for teaching and giving rides and the jump board fit me so well and I could get my fix from time to time.
Any pictures would be helpful and anyone knowing where I can get old boards cheap... or donated would be wonderful. I will be taking a trip back to Maryland but will miss the yard sale for windsurfers in Annapolis. Help and thanks!!! Colin
AnswerHey Colin,
Not knowing the exact make and model of your boards will make identifying them fairly difficult. Your descriptions are pretty generic and describe just about anybody's quiver. Just for future reference, you should take pictures of your gear as a whole and also close ups of make/model/and any serial numbers.
As for finding photos that look the same or similar, try searching for windsurf, windsurfer, and windsurfing on ebay and craigslist. You will find a variety of boards listed. Check out different cities on craigslist for a variety of gear. You may also find some gear to replace yours in your searches.
Hope this helps.
Keep on sailing,
Windlover
