F2 Foot Straps
Question
QUESTION: I have an old F2 Comet (abt 1987) and my last foot straps have disintegrated.
The strap anchors are a slot with an 'L' at the bottom that needs an 'L' insert piece to mate with it then a filler tab to secure it.
Any idea where I could get a replacement or how I could jury rig one?
ANSWER: Hey Bill,
The only place I know of that might have parts is www.oceanairsports.com. You might also Google F2 windsurfing to find other distributors and email them to see if they might have some parts or ideas on how to fix your straps.
Hope this helps.

Any thoughts on wind surfing locations near the Woolds Texas?
I've thought of Lake Woodlaands in a blow but wonder about snakes and such.
Answer
Hey Bill,
Lake Woodlands should work okay for you. Just make sure that you can park and launch without hassles. As for snakes and such, I'm afraid that is just something to be aware of when sailing anywhere is the southern regions of the country. Just remember that if a snake in the water is coming towards you, it could very well be a cottonmouth/water moccasin which are very aggressive an definitely poisonous. But, looking at site about that lake, I don't think that you will have much to worry about as far as snakes go. It seems to be a fairly well maintained area with a fair amount of people around so a lower chance of snake activity.
Hope this helps.
