Mast and boom size needed for Tyronsea board

Question
I am looking at buying a Tyronsea board and a 'Fully Battened' 5.5 sail second hand but the seller cant tell me the size of the board or the size of the mast/boom needed. I dont know much about windsurfing and this is a gift for my partner so i want to know the prices of the mast and boom before i buy the board/sail. To do this i need to know the size.
The board doesnt need to end up being the fastest or best, just functional and fun.

The first thing to find out is if the board takes a specific mast foot and if so, does the seller have the mast foot for that board? If there is just slot in the board and can take a standard mast foot, does the seller have a mast foot?

If the seller doesn't have a mast foot and it is board specific mast foot, don't buy the board because finding an older, board specific mast foot can be very difficult to impossible.

If it is a slot that takes a standard mast foot and the seller doesn't have one, they are readily available new and used.

If there is a mast foot that will work for the board, then a mast and boom are what you will need. On the sail at the bottom, there should be some information printed that will say mast/luff, boom/outhaul, mcs/stiffness. The mast/luff will be the recommended mast length, boom/outhaul will be the length setting for the boom, & mcs/stiffness is the stiffness of the mast. The stiffness is important to get the sail to rig properly. It is not as important as mast length but should be within +/- 1 mcs. MCS #'s usually range from 24-29.

Length of mast will be in cm and for that sail should range from 400-490, but will probably be 430 or 460. Boom length will also be in cm and is the length to set the boom. Booms are very adjustable and will fit a range of sails. My guess for boom for that sail will be something with a range of around 160-220cm. The range of a boom should be on the boom or listed.

You can spend anywhere from $50-500 for a mast and $50-200 for a boom. Buying used is the low range and the upper range is for new. Since you are buying a used board and sail, buying a used mast and boom gets you on the water for less expense and then consider upgrading to newer gear if you get hooked on windsurfing (warning: there is a high probability of getting hooked on windsurfing).

You can always find new gear at a local shop or online. Used gear is available through ebay and your local Craigslist.
