Answer
Larks Head
Hey Alfredo,
The basic knot is known as a Larks Head or Cow Hitch. A very simple knot. Take about a 24" piece of 1/8" rope and put the two ends together to make a loop in the middle of the rope. Run the loop around the mast and feed the two ends through the loop (see picture). Run the two ends around the mast again (laying them inbetween the first wraps) and feed them through the loop again. Pull the ends against the loop to snug the knot. Wrapping the lines around the mast twice keeps the knot and boom from slipping down the mast.
Now follow the directions for attaching the boom.
Hope this helps.
