Revelstoke BC
Question
I want to plan a trip up to Revelstoke next year for a couple weeks for some skiing. I'm 22 years old and have been skiing since i was about 4 and been just about everywhere in the Continental US and want to venture out in Canada or Alaska. I've been to Whistler BC once awhile ago but thats it.
Just seeing if you had been to Revelstoke or knew anything about best times of years to go. I know its pretty much a backcountry skiers dream which is what I love. I just don't want to plan a trip during the a "bad" time of the year and looking for input from anyone.
Thanks for the help!
Answer
Hey Nick,
I have only been there during the summer and it was amazing then. Hiking there gets you up close and personal with mountain goats and bighorn sheep. Would love to try the skiing someday.
They have definitely have stepped up the back country skiing in the area with lots of choices for all abilities. Being more inland the snow is usually drier and more of it than coastal resorts like Whistler. Skiing usually starts late November but the better time would probably be January through late March.
Here is some snowfall data from a local resort up there;

Hope this helps.
Keep on skiing,
