Is my Ski damage

Question
Both Ski started to bend form a shape () when place together.
Is my ski damage and how to bring the ski back to flat || again.

Answer
Hey YeenKee,

All older skis and most newer skis have some camber built into them, thus the shape () when placed bottom to bottom. This camber helps the ski to carve the snow. Some newer designs have reversed this camber and call it 'rocker'. These tend to be in freeride/park type skis. The side cut of newer skis also tends to remove a lot of the camber that older style skis had.

There might not be anything wrong with your skis if they were supposed to have camber built into them. If they are newer and are supposed to have no camber, then there could be an issue. If you bought them at a local shop, take them back and have their technicians inspect them. If you didn't get them locally, try to find a shop that sells that brand/model of ski. As a last resort, contact the manufacturer directly. If they are supposed to be flat and are developing a camber, there could be issues that may or may not affect the ski. Only someone with specific knowledge of your make/model of ski would know how to help you.

Hope this helps.
Keep on skiing,
Windlover
