Libtech skis
Question
Hey, Windlover...
I was wondering if you had any info on Libtech skis. They are relatively new on the scene (3-4 years). I am looking to pick up the Freeride skis, but the shop that I was at only has a pair of the Jib skis. I think they will be too soft for me, being an all mountain skier. Didn't know if you had any input on the LIbtech family. Thanks.
Answer
Hey John,
I don't know much about them either but I did see a show about the company. Being such a new company some would have reservations about the quality and durability of their products but based on what I saw on the show and have read about them, they definitely make good skis. Reviews from pro and amateur skiers rate them very high. The show I watched focused a segment on their quality control and design. They have done extensive testing trying to destroy their skis to ensure that skiers get a high quality product. Their testing grounds are on Mt. Baker and having skied there a number of times I can attest to the huge amount of hardcore skiing available there. I would definitely consider them if I were shopping for a new pair of skis. I agree that you should go for the Freeride for all mountain skiing.
Hope this helps.
Keep on skiing,
Windlover
