HARD TO FIND SIZES

MY SON WOULD LIKE  A PAIR OF SKATES FOR HIS BIRTHDAY.  HE IS RATHER LARGE, SIZE 13EE, MOST COMPANIES ONLY GO UP TO SIZE 12. CAN YOU DIRECT ME TO A COMPANY THAT MAKES CUSTOM MADE SKATES.

I don't know whether you are talking about inline or traditional (quad) skates. If you are refering to quads, he would need to be fitted for custom boots - Reidell will do a custom boot which takes 4 to 6 weeks to make up. If you are in the N.Y.C. area I am the person to do that for you - I have been fitting custom boots at Lezly Skate School since 1979 & my prices are the best on the East Coast. If you are looking for inline skates, as I believe you are, there is no need for a custom fit. Salomon, K2 & Rollerblade all make a size 13. I spoke to Jack at Blade Board & Skate at their downtown B'way location - he said that they carry size 13 in all those brands & that Rollerblade size 12 1/2 would be a good snug fit & they are lasted wide. Once again - if you are in N.Y. you might want to check them out at 659 B'way. I'm sure that any good inline shop would have something to fit. Good luck & good, safe skating.
