best place to buy RollerBlades

I am an amateur skater and have no intention of becoming a professional.   I do however like to skate for long distances.  My previous roller blades were not comfortable and caused me great pain in my ankles.   I am in the market for a new pair for the summer, however, I have a problem with finding nice skates for a reasonable price.  My price range does not go over $75.  Where would you suggest looking for a reasonable pair of roller blades for an affordable price?

Hi Alex,
   I think you should be able to find a pair of roller blades for the price you mentioned.  I don't know where you live but I would check all the sports stores.  They have a variety of skates and they come in all different prices.   Another suggestion is to check with your local roller rink.  Most of them have catalogs with the prices listed.

    One more thought would be.....If you have a Play It Again Sports Store close to you..check there.  They have used equipment so you might be able to save a lot of money on a good pair of skates.

   Keep in mind......comfort is #1.  You can turn any skate into a better skate by replacing the wheels or the bearings.  Find a skate that's comfortable.  You don't have to spend a fortune to get what you want.  If you find used skates that feel good, get them!   Then down the road when you can afford it, buy new bearings and if the wheels are in bad shape, buy new wheels.   

   For distance skating it's best to have a larger wheel and a pretty good bearing.  Those can be bought at your local sports store and are sold seperately.
