skating coach

Hello, my daughter is learning her jumps.  I bought her a harness to help her and I wanted to know if you know anyone in the Alexandria Va area or DC area that could help her using the harness.  Thanks Jim

Hi Jim,
  I'm sorry I wish I could help you but I don't know any of the coaches in your area.  You may want to check your phone directory for local rinks.  Who is the coach that's teaching your daughter now?  Or is she learning by herself?

  I would suggest that you call or go into some local rinks and talk to their coaches.  Get some information, see who's qualified at coaching free style.

  Depending on your daughters goals, ask the free style coaches if and how many of their skaters have placed at Nationals previously.  Then make your decision from the info that they give you.

  Not all coaches are qualified to teach free style so make sure you have a list of questions and when you're happy with the answers, you'll know which coach would be right for your daughter.

  I'm sorry I couldn't give you specific names but hopefully this infomation will head you on the right track.
