Left brake

Question
Hello... My son and I are left handed. I'm looking for roller blades that the brakes can be switch to the left side or maybe have brakes on both skates. I never skated before, and my son its been about 3 years. I had purchase a regular roller blade for him last month and when he brake, went under my car. He tough that the brake was on the left side. I want it to be fun... not end up in the hospital. Thanks. :-)

Answer
Erika,
If you go to the shop where you bought the skates they should either be able to switch the brake to the left skate or if it is a fixed brake & cannot be transfered, there are skates with the brake on both skates. These skates are usually inexpensive as they are not high precision skates. if that is not available where you bought the first skates, try another shop. On most inline skates the brake can be switched to the left skate easily you may have to pay a little more for them, but this is something that is done all the time.
