Inline Skating for children

Hi,
My daughter would like to compete in inline skating events for children.  Can you tell me where in South Florida (preferable Palm Breach area) to go? Thanks

Hi Deb,
  I can't give you a specific roller rink to contact because I'm not from your area....but if you have a couple rinks in your area, I would go visit them to gather some info about their coaches and if they have a competitive club there.

  I'm not sure if you're talking about speed skating or artistic skating but ask questions regarding the type of skating your daughter is interested in.

  If it's speed, then ask if they have a competitive team, how many are on the team and how many coaches.

  If she's interested in artistic skating (dance, figures, freestyle) then ask if they have a competitive artistic club.  Also ask how many are in the club and how many coaches they have.

  Just make a list of questions so you're prepared when you go there.  I do know there are quite a few competitive clubs in Florida so just find one who offers what you're looking for then meet the coaches to see which one you like best.

  If it's competitive speed that you're looling for they will set your daughter up with a try out session.

  If it's artistic  your interested in, I would take a private lesson from each coach before committing to one particular coach.  They all teach differently and you want to find one that your daughter works well with.
