Very new to skating!
Question
Hi, I live in the UK and want to skate around our very rural country roads to 'up the anti' on the exercise given to our Border Collie.(I fall off bikes). What is the best kind of skate to use given that I have not been on an ice rink for many, many years (I am now 50), although I am fairly fit in that I walk a lot with lots of hills. Also our roads are not pristine and there are the said given hills!!
Answer
Hi Beth,
Look for a skate with 90 mm wheels & 82A or 84A durometer (hardness) which will work better with rougher terrain. Make sure to invest in a helmet, wrist, knee & elbow guards & I would even recommend snowboarding padded shorts which are not intrusive worn under your clothing but very protective. Skate safe % good luck to you!!
