Answer
Sanju,
I just responded to a very similar question - I will share the info I sent in that instance as it applies perfectly to your situation:
For the type of skating you want to do, inline skates would be the most appropriate. They are faster & better for dealing with changing terrain. They are also advantageous because the surface area of the wheels being narrower, there is less chance of them hitting debris or obstructions on the surface. Inlines are a little more difficult to balance on than quad skates in the beginning, but not that much more that it should discourage you from inlines.
I strongly support the idea of taking skate lessons. Many people put on skates without a clue how to use them properly & end up injuring themselves & give up skating, when a few classes would give them the knowledge & experience they would need to skate safely & give many years of pleasure.
Be sure to purchase all the protective gear that will prevent unnecessary injuries - helmet, wrist guards, elbow & knee pads & I strongly recommend protective snowboarding pants called bumsavers (worn under your pants) - I use the ones made by Triple 8.
Good Luck- skate safe & enjoy.
