Kickflip and ramps
Question
Dear Ed,
I have 2 questions for u.what can you put on boards to make them slippery?and can u tell me how to kick-flip?
Answer
Alright Kyle heres the deal,
To make boards slippery you could buy old school rails I belive ccs (http://www.ccsmailorder.com)still sells them or you could go for what is known as a slick deck. Which is a peice of plastic that goes over the bottom layer to make your board slippery. CCS sells them and so does just about any mailorder company. Now you could also try waxing up your board but that isin't a long term solution.
Now as far as kickflips go, They are frustrating as hell aren't they? It took me a very long time to learn kickflips you know I'd try one here and there maybe practice them for 20 minutes and give up it's really practice. Now I don't know what you are doing wrong but what I used to do is i'd kick it and the board would flip perfect. But my front foot would land on the ground or before the board stopped flipping and the back on the board. Anyway finally I had enough so I started trying them everyday all day and finally I learned a different way to kick my leg and center my weight and I landed it. One of the happiest moments in my life finally after so long I landed something that had evaded me for so long and shortly after I learned heelflips. I can't really give you any specific advice just try them alot forget other tricks if you have to. Youll get it if you stick with it and the good part is if you get it once itll just come to you.
Good Luck Bro, hope Iv'e Helped.
~Ed
