Question -
Do I have to have some speed or can i just go without speed? ------------------------- Followup To Question - i wanted to ask you how to ollie...i can never get it.. Answer - You and everyone else has trouble with the ollie at first, it s really hard to catch on. You need to roll around on your board a lot and get really comfortable first off, it will be easier that way. Then, go to some low cut grass or carpet and learn how to ollie so that fear will be eliminated. You just have to slam the tail, lift your front foot up and JUMP! It s pretty simple, just practice practice practice, and don t give up. Good luck!
Answer -
You don't need speed to ollie. You can ollie while stationary on grass, or moving 50 mph. What you need to do is learn it in grass first then take it to concrete, then as you get better and more comfortable, try ollieng going faster and faster, and over objects.
Answer
It's no bother, don't worry. Are you getting the board off the ground at all, back wheels and everything? If so, you're on your way. Just pop the tail, suck your back foot up, jump high, slide your front foot up and level it out then land. Try this: Watch a video like this http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7962692557752064800&q=learn+to+ollie
If you don't like this one or it doesn't help, there are tons of skate video help sites and vids on the internet. Learn exactly how to ollie, then for one week just practice it over and over and over. It's hard at first because it's really alien to you, I know how it feels, it took me forever to be able to ollie, but practice your ass off and you'll get it, I promise.
