22 Ruger jamming

Hi Rod-
I'm also a volunteer here, on insurance issues.  I have a 22 caliber Ruger rifle, and the bolt action to slide a bullet from the clip isn't going back.  Before I call my Dad, who gave me the gun, I'd like to resolve it myself.  Any suggestions?  Thanks for your help. :)

Sorry for the late reply. I changed my email address and forgot to change it with AE. Whoops!

It almost sounds like there's some debris in the bolt rails or perhaps some rust. Powder residues? I suppose the first thing I'd try is a little gun oil on the rails around the bolt and spend some time working it in with the barrel pointed up. That would allow the oil to run down towards the end. -Rod-
