handgun refinishing

I currently carry a .32 Beretta Tomcat, daily, with a black factory finish.  Unfortunately, my inside the pocket leather holster has damaged the finish on the pistol.  Since I need to send it to be refinished is there another finish that is more durable and cost effective for a hand gun that size?

The best finish commercially available right now is the Black-T finish from WE Birdsong & Associates. It's tough, durable and wears very, very well.

Unfortunately, after searching on both Google and Yahoo, I've arrived at the conclusion that WE Birdsong & Associates doesn't have their own website. However, your local gunsmith should know how to contact them for refinishing.

I must say I haven't had much experience in getting guns refinished (most of mine are stainless) but from those I've talked to who have, all have great things to say about Birdsong's products.
