permit to carry a fire arm

I work for the nc doc and I am trying to obtain a job with pa doc but they say I can't carry a weapon in pa when I was cleared in nc  I have a felony charge of unlawfull poss of a weapon in nj from 1987 no arrest in 14 years and now work for doc in nc

I am surprised that you were "cleared" for concealed carry in NC. As far as I know, it is not allowed to obtain a ccw in either NC or PA when you have a felony conviction. (If you were not convicted, then it shouldn't have been a problem, so I assume that you must have been convicted.)

The only things I can suggest are to try to find a sympathetic government official in Pa, or to hire a lawyer to look for possible loopholes.
