Here is Ron Gabel's answer to question number 3263
Question:
I have a NR Davis & Sons 12 guage double barrel shotgun. I am trying to find a value but so far have been unlucky in my quest. The serial no. is 13777. It is in my opinion in fair condition. It is hammerless. One side full choke the other modified. It also has Davis-Warner Arms Corp. stamped on the underside. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Answer:
N.R. Davis & Sons were manufacturers of percussion, and later, cartridge shotguns from 1853 to 1919. Davis shotguns were extremely well made and lived up to the companies motto "As Good As The Best". Retail values range from $100 in poor condition to $800 in fine condition depending on age, grade and model
