Cartridge choice

Question
Paul: I may have asked about this before but need more info. As
far as cartridge choice for bench rest target shooting I'm looking
at Ruger 204, 22-250 or 308. I have a .223 and .243 already.
Recoil of the 308 I can get around with a LimbSaver stock pad.
Trading in two rimfire rifles 'cause they don't interest me much.
What would you pick and why ?

I already answered this question,  the .308 would be the best choose of those listed.  Its the most versitile,
there cheap surplus ammo and brass available to practice with, and its the flatest shooting. It also has a heavier bullets that less effected by crosswinds.


The Savage Accutrigger is good adjustable trigger, like the those that used to only be available aftermarket.
