revolver load

Question
I just bought a taurus revolver magnum .22 4" barrel. Actually I intended to use this on a .22 LR and .22 short for hunting rats in our house so that it is less penetration. My intention is that I can have 3 choices of bullet.The Magnum, LR, and the short. My question is that will it not harm my gun using LR and Short for this gun which is intended for Magnum bullets in the long run? Like for example the riffling of the bore and the accuracy, does it have an adverse effect in the long run?

.22 Mag. is not interchangeable with .22 LR, Long , or short unless the revolver comes 2 cylinders.
It is dangerous to attempt to shoot .22 LR in a .22 mag
cylinder as the casing are not the same diameter.
You did not give a model number so I have not detail
on your revolver.

A few people have made convertable single action revolvers, with  two cylinders: one in .22 LR and one in .22 WMR. Only two truely worked well.
Ruger Single Six Convertable and the  Colt New Colt New Frontier Convertible were the only ones that did it well. Both of these will shoot everything from a CB cap
to .22 Mag.
The Colt is no longer made and very expensive used.
The Ruger are cheap and plentifull.
I would trade the Taurus for one of those.
