Jimenez 9mm
Question
I read your previous answer to someone inquiring about the Jimenez 9mm J.A. nine , has there been any inprovement to this weapon , or is it basically still a piece of S--T ?
Any recommendations on an affordable 9mm automatic? I am a revolver guy & have never owned or even shot an automatic.
Answer
Ron,
The latest I've heard is the Jimenez 9mm is still a poorly-designed pistol made of low-quality materials.
If you're looking for a decent, reasonably-priced 9mm you might consider the CZ75 line or the EAA Witness line, the latter of which are basically CZ clones. Both are well-designed pistols made of good materials.
If you're willing to go up to $600 or so, you can't go wrong with a Glock 17 or 19 or a Beretta Model 92FS.
Smith & Wesson has a value line of guns that are all very good as well as a value line of their Sigma polymer pistols. Those are definitely worth checking out.
Hopefully I've been some help, if you've any other questions please feel free to ask.
