Question
The owner of a HK p2000 says it is much safer than his old Glock 27... what do you think - especially as a CCW
Answer
Don,
It's likely a case of six to one, half-dozen to the other. Neither firearm as a manual safety device. Both incorporate firing-pin blocks to prevent accidential discharge. Both are very high-quality pistols that would serve equally well in a concealed carry situation.
Between you, me and the fencepost, I've a feeling the H&K-owner was merely attempting to rationalize spending what he did on the pistol. Don't get me wrong, H&Ks are FANTASTIC guns, it's just that they make that fact a little too well known on the price tag for my taste.
