Question will a stainless mil. spec. barrel shoot out faster (burn up) than a regular barrel of the same lenth and size.
Answer Now there very little difference in blue steel and stainless steel in terms barrel life today. 20 or 25 years ago stainless steel worn wear out a lot faster.
Its no longer true. Stainless steel costs more but is easier to take care of it. Personally I use blue steel 6 groove Douglas barrels when I need a rebarreling.
