In good shape, reblued and its in operating condition, good wood, serial N430
by the trigger.  Rifle found about 50 years ago.  I'd like to know it's model, when
it was made, and value approximately.  Thank you for any information you have.

J. Stevens manufactured the Marksman from 1911 to 1939. Please understand that I do not have access to exactly what year yours was produced. Many (if not most) of these records have been lost or destroyed over the years.

It is chambered for the .22, .25, and .32 rimfire cartridges. It has a 22" barrel that is of the tipup design activated by a "S" shaped trigger guard lever. The rifle is also know as the No. 12.

The rifle in "good" condition has an approximate retail value of $250.
