Walther PP 22 cal.

Question
I have a Walther PP 22 cal. that my father brought back from Germany in 1945. Aside from the Walther logo it has "Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella-Mehlis (Thur) Walthers Patent Cal. 22 Mod PP" on the left side of the slide. The right side of the frame and slide have the s/n 248553p. The bluing is worn from normal use. It has the original grips, clip, and holster. The holster bears the letters "D.R.G.M." under the flap. This weapon was confiscated from a German officer. This is everything I know about the weapon. Is there anything else you can tell me about this piece?. It has great sentimental value to me and I would like to find out all I can about it. It will never be for sale but I am curious as to it's value. How can I get a true apprasial?

You should get this appraised by 3 local gunsmiths, dealers or auction houses. The value is likily from $800 to $3000
depending on condition and if it has matching numbers.
.22 cal is not a service issue pistol. Those were .32 cal.
It might be rarity.
