Answer
Jerry,
Astra is a brand name placed on guns manufactured by Esperanza y Unceta and later Unceta y Cia. It is a Spanish Co. that has now incorporated its trade name into its corporate name and know does business as Astra-Unceta SA.
The company began business in Eibar in 1908 and moved to Guernica in 1913. The Astra trademark was adopted in Nov. of 1914. Interarms is the importer of Astra.
The model A-70 is a lightweight semi-auto pistol chambered for the 9mm and/or .40 S&W cartridge. It is fitted with a 3-dot combat sight, has a barrel length of 3.5" and a magazine capacity of 8 rounds for 9mm and 7 for the .40 S&W. It has black plastic grips and blue finish is standard. The weight of the pistol is 29 oz.
The approximate retail value of the A-70 in "good" condition is $175 and you can add $35 for a nickel finish.
As for parts..... I recommend checking with Numrich Gun Parts Co. You can view their website at www.e-gunparts.com
Thanks for the question Jerry.
