Question In a previous post you mention that this shotgun should never be fired without a choke. Is it dangerous to do so? I just inherited one made around 1968 and would like to use it for "plinking".
Answer If it is "D" model with detachable choke it needs to have a screw in choke in place. Otherwise the barrel could be damaged. If you are missing the detachable choke you can try Havlin Sales or Gun Parts Corp. Both are on line.
If its a "K" model the C-lect choke needs to be intact.
The same reason.
If it has a plain barrel with a fixed choke you have no concerns.
