Explanatory question and Reiteration

"I have already answered this question for you once before." is the reply I received from [email protected]. I'm quite aware of this, however, there are several "gun experts" and since my FIRST reply was "But this is outside of my expertise." from one of the gentlemen, is it unreasonable to think that a DIFFERENT "expert" might have an answer INSIDE his expertise?  My question was, "A couple, sir.  I cannot find ass/disassembly instructions for the 58 but I have them for the 1100, are they essentially the same?  And, any idea where I can find a replacement trim cap with white spacer for the pistol grip on the 58 (I'd use one for an 1100 if it would fit since this is not a restoration per se just a good clean up)?  Thanks for your time.  NJR"

You continue to send your question to the same person, rather than a different "expert" as you thought or intended.

I am sorry that my field of knowledge is more in modern military and tactical weapons than in older sporting shotguns.

Nevertheless, I did some looking on the web, and it took me about 2 minutes to find www.Remington.com.  If you go there and click on "Support" then click "Sportsmen's Library," then under "Downloads" pull down "Owner's Manuals" you'll find at the bottom of the page a button that says "Request an Obsolete Owner's Manual."

I believe this will give you more detailed information and photos or drawings that will be best help you with your Model 58.
