german rifle

i have a german bolt action 6 shot 1942 7.62/54 would like to know value and how i would find scope mount for it. been told from dealer have to goto special dealer or swap meet to find. also if possible what is range of gun?

Most bolt actions are 5 shot. 7.62x54 is a russian as opposed to german caliber. Perhaps you have a Nagant?  If it is chambered in that it was probably done as a custom gun, most german Mauser's are 8mm, earlier ones can be 7mm, 7.65mm, etc. Let me know the exact model number and I'll let you know about the scope mounting.
