Mossberg Model B

Question
Can you tell me the history of the Mossberg Company and how to date of manufacture of the Mossberg Model B .22, bolt action rifle? It has finger grooves in the fore end, a protruding take down screw and a non grooved trigger. There are no parts that appear to be nickel plated.

Hi,
The model B was made from 1928 to 1932.
I was orginal designed fot F C Taylor Fur Co. of St Louis Mo.
It was a mail order house that sold these $4.85.
Then it was available at many retailers.
Its is a basic single shot bolt action rifle.
It is a take down model.
The front sight was orginally ivory bead.
