QuestionI have a belgium sweet 16 with a polychoke, and would like to know it's approximate value and date of manufacture. Thanks, Butch
AnswerButch,
It will be difficult to give a reasonable estimate on value without seeing it. There are a lot of factors to consider. The first is condition, second, does it have a vent rib, third, how is it choked and several other things to look at. Current values of Sweet 16's range from $500 to $2600 depending on the above factors. Some will tell you the polychoke hurts the value, but if it is a choke that was added at the Browning facility in Arnold, MO, it may not be scrutinized as much.
If you can, take a few pix of your shotgun to include some close ups of the receiver and the stock, and I will try to help you more.
