hi doug just wondering if you can give me an approximate value of a got i recently acquired.  
O.F. Mossberg & sons inc.
New Haven Conn U.S.A.
Model 185 k-b 20ga 2 3/4 in
all of the above is imprinted in the gun.  any info would be helpful. thank you

Hi Jen!

The shotgun you have is a Mossberg bolt action 20 gauge shotgun.  It was probably manufactured between 1955 and 1958.  That should make it about 50 years old.  If it is in good to excellent condition, you may be able to sell it to a private party for between $150 and $225 depending on the condition.  If you take it to a gun dealer you will probably be offered about half of what you could privately sell it for.
