Doug...I probably know the answer but as a Arizona property owner but living between AZ and IL, to obtain a Concealed carry permit, do I have to take training course in AZ?

If you want to be able to carry concealed in Arizona, you will need to take a class here.  There is no reciprocity between Illinois and Arizona, so if you have a permit there, it won't be recognized here.

All Arizona CCW training is required to take place within the boundaries of Arizona.  The course is 8 hours in length and the going rate for the class is $99.  The class has a written test and firearms qualification component.  Most of the more reputable instruction venues have firearms available for rental.

The cost of the permit is $60 initially and then after five years, the renewal is $43.  No additional training or qualification is required for renewal.  It can be done by mail.
