The walther ppk
Question
I recently purchased a Walther PPK .380 and I am dissatisfied with the performance of this handgun. The gun has a tendency to jam a lot. Is there anything that I cam Do to alleviate this problem?
Answer
Ronald,
I have always had a mild interest in the Walther/s at best and at worst a total dislike for them. In general I've never found them to be great shooters by any definition of the term. They have also had jamming issues or least that has been my personal experience. They are fun to own for what they are and some are even collectible.
Its hard to say for sure what the problem may be without benefit of a personal inspection however, I'd probably try polishing of the feed ramp, a new magazine, and/or trying different ammo.
Since I've had pistols that wouldn't properly cycle one type/brand of ammo but would others...... I'd try that first. Second you may have a weak magazine spring and/or the magazine has been damaged. Try replacing the magazine with a new one. The polishing speaks for itself I think.
I hope this helps and thanks for the question Ronald.
