Browning 22 Auto FN Belgium made.

I have a browning 22 Long auto and would like to get some info / history on it.  
There isn't many marking on it but it抯 got the loading tube from the butt and unlike most that I've seen, this one loads from the top of the hand grip vice the side of the stock.  It has a very short front stock apox 5" about 3/4" in diameter.
Any Idea of the age or history?

I believe you have a pre FN era .22 auto takedown. If so, it is pre 1956 and one of the original takedown designs by John Moses Browning.
You might look at Browning.com and contact the very good historian Glenn Jensen. A wonderful person who works for Browning.
