changing the 870 safety for a lefty

Can you change the safety on a remington 870 12 gauge shotgun so it works for a lefty ? I want to push it off w/ my trigger finger instead of reaching around the trigger guard to push it off. I had a Benelli R-1 that you could just turn the safety 180 degrees and it worked the other way. The 870 gets stuck in the off position when you do this. can you help??

Here is a link to an outfit that has what you need for about $15.  You should have a gunsmith put it in for you to insure that the work is done correctly if you aren't comfortable working on your gun...
