browning 300 win mag semi auto

Hello

My question for you is how can one tell what year this rifle is?  I think it might be a 1969 but Im not sure.  At the end on the serl # there's a M9  so like this 69#@4 M9.  My next question is should I restore this rifle or should I leave it as it is and just enjoy its rustic beauty and what value would you put on this rifle.  Thank you for your time.  Justin
