Decocking lever - clarification
Question
Charles, my question should be: Will the pistol function
well despite its decocking lever not working? Again, thanks a lot.
Answer
Hello Vince. First, if it was manufactured with a decocking lever, there had to have been a reason. I'm sure that it was definitely for safety purposes. If it is not working or broken, take it to an experienced and competent gunsmith. He will be able to explain why the cocking lever is there. If he can, most likely he will repair it or replace the part. If he is competent, he will advise against firing it until it is repaired. If it is non-repairable, put it on the wall. Many people have guns, but not many display them so others can admire the quality of years gone by. Charles Gage
