Shotgun Slugs

Hello, I have a Remington 870 Express 20ga shotgun with the original barrel and choke in place. My question is, can I safely fire Remington slugs through this setup? I have seen "Slug Barrels" for sale. Thank you.

Nearly all the Remington 870 Express models came with a 'modified choke'.  You can definitely shoot slugs through the choke tube without damaging it.  If you are going to shoot a LOT of slugs through it, you might consider removing the choke.  The choke is removable with the choke wrench that should have come with your gun.

If you don't have a choke wrench, you should be able to purchase one anywhere that shotguns are sold.  They aren't very expensive.  You can find them for $7-$8.
