jimenez arms maggazine
Question
Is there a magazine compatible with the j.a.nine? I just moved to another state and my extra mag was destroyed.
Answer
Hello Doran. You can purchase a new magazine from Shining Star Investments LLC- Distributors of Jimenez Arms.
I feel a great responsibility to all prospective or current owners of Jimenez Arms auto's to pass on the following information.. There are several news statements directing gun owners/users to the danger of this firearm. I was not aware of these articles until after I purchased one of these JA-9mm's. I purchased it at a gun show. It seemed every other dealer there were trying to dump these guns. These dealers would not let you pass their booth without almost shoving this gun in your face. I had seen them in Shotgun News for $195.00. These dealers were selling them at $119.00 or two for $200.00. That is when I bought mine (for $99.00). I took it out to the river back home and fired a clip at some turtles. Didn't bother them much. I guess they saw what I was shooting. Anyway, I loaded up another clip and the third shot it jammed. I looked to see if a empty had jammed the action and it had not, so I pulled the slide to clear it and it wouldn't budge. I took it home and found it had slipped off the track and the barrel was pushed back. I tried the phone number in the box and it had been disconnected. I asked a very good friend and gunsmith what to do with it. He took one look at it and handed it back to me and in a matter-of-fact way, said I should take it back to the river and give it a good throw. I did and I actually think I hit one of those laughing turtles.
He turned me on to a couple news articles dealing with JA-9 and Jimenez Arms. One carried the article of the death of a young child when it blew up while his father was shooting it. Look these up and read them. Los Angeles Times Feb 26,2005 article "O.C.GUN MAKER IS SET TO OPEN NEVADA PLANT" article by DAVID HALDANE. Also "The Gun Guy" has some distressing info on this deadly firearm.I hope I not only gave you something serious to think about, but also answered your question. Charles Gage
