nics check w/suspended liscense

hello, i recently found out my drivers liscense eas suspended back in august of 08, i just took care of this matter 2 weeks ago, but i was told the dmv and police records could show it suspended up to 6mo, will this affect a nics check? thanks

Hello Nick.

The NICS check is primarily concerned with felony crimes and warrants. Suspension of a drivers license should not interfere with this check as long as there were no other problems such as criminal charges or warrants for your arrest. Even if the NICS is denied you will have the option to appeal it but I wouldn't worry about it unless you have some criminal history. It only costs you $10 to find out.
