Daisy Model 2202 Cal. .22LR
Question
I am looking for information about this model. Something related to the value of the gun and it's history. Thank You
Answer
Calvin,
I can't really tell you too much about the history. Daisy was really more of an air rifle manufacturer and as a result didn't really do much in the .22 LR realm. The 2202 was made between 1988 and 1991 and there were apparently not a lot of them made. Despite the relative rarity, their values remain pretty low.
Prices currently range $150-$175 depending on the features the gun had. Since your 2202 has a copolymer stock, it is probably near the lower end of the range.
All the Legacy models (how they were referred to...) had removable triggers, slings and swivels, takedown barrels, scope receivers and a rifled barrel (12 lands/grooves). The 2202 was a bolt action repeater with a 10 shot rotary magazine. The 2202 had a plastic stock while the 2212 had a hardwood stock.
Be careful not to lose or break the magazine. It is nearly impossible to find a replacement. It might take months to find one, if you find one at all...
That's about all I can tell you...

Doug
