General firearm questions
Question
I just got a single barrel, 12 gauge, break action shotgun and on it it says J. Stevens Arms Company, Chicopee falls Mass. USA with what I believe is the model number 107B on the other side. I would like to possibly know how old it is, what the value of it is and what the model number means. if you cant find any answers, well, thanks for trying.

Answer
Hello Chris. Your Stevens Model 107B was manufactured sometime between 1912 and 1940's. Stevens made a variety of inexpensive utility grade shotguns. Although very good quality, today's market is mostly as shooters with very little collectors interest. In very good condition, your firearm has a value of $75.00-$125.00. Here is a way to get more info on your shotgun.
